cvs tags not visible!

Hello All

I tag a CVS module or project at the top level but when I try to view the tag repository at the top level the tag doesn't show up, however, it shows up and I can view them at the subfolder levels. This is not happening to my other modules. Could this be a bug or maybe our developers misused CVS and not importing the module correctly into CVS?

Thanks

Rez

How are you 'view'ing the tags?
CVS tags files not directories.
Are there any files directly in the top level directory?

Do your other modules have files in their top levels?

I am not even sure what you are seeing yet, so it is hard to call if it is any of those problems.

I view the tags with cvs log and I think you have a point there, top directories with files and folders underneath them show the tags but top directories with only directories in them don't show the tags when I execute [cvs log dir.name] and I have to traverse one level down to see the tags. I don't know why I thought the directories should have tags too. Thanks
