cvs [commit aborted]: out of memory

on CVS 1.11.22 on server AIX, i have the error cvs commit aborted<https://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/CommitAborted>: out of memory ;when i try to commit a file of 50megab; if i rename it i haven't problem (because it is an ADD and not an UPDATE)
can you help me?

The first thing you need to do is ask yourself why you're placing a 50MB
file under *source* control. Very few source files are anywhere near
that size.

If you're determined to do it anyway, you'll need to make more virtual
memory available to the server. Quite possibly lots more if this file
changes very often.
